The Adventures

(and MisAdventures)

of Elliott and Mary

This is the story of Mary, Elliott, and Letitia.

I've tried to break the trip into the segments as we saw them and will include some pictures that give a feel for them.

Here we go!!!

 2011

To the North Woods

We start the 'Land Yacht' adventure with a leg up to Wisconsin to visit friends and to try out this  new travel mode.

We didn't hurry, we left Austin June 1 and got to the Hayward, WI area July 17.

Off to the Mountains (and the Wedding)

With a family wedding in McCall, ID on Sept.9 it looked like a good time for a trip out West. If Montana had 12 months of summer rather than 3 we might not come back to Texas!

  Back to Texas

Again, we didn't hurry home. This is just a great way to see the country! We explored Salt Lake City, marvelled at Flaming Gorge, and pondered snow fences in Wyoming. We stopped in Kansas for a FMCA rally and visited the North Texas pine forest.

We were glad to get back but enjoyed it all.

 2012

To Visit the Kids

This year we are first going to visit the kids (and their kids) on the east coast. First in NY and then Boston.

  Off to watch'em race

After seeing the 'Big City(s)', we are off to the North Woods and the 'Big Water'.

The 2012 Ensign National Sailboat Regatta is in Marquette Michigan on Lake Superior and I want to watch.

  Back to Texas (2)

Again, we didn't hurry home. This is just a great way to see the country! We made a leisurly trip back. Made the Escapees RV Club Escapade in Sedalia,Mo and saw Branson,Mo on the way home..

We were glad to get back but enjoyed it all.

 2013

To the North Woods

We liked Marquette so much last year that we decided to spend a couple of months there before moving on. We spent all summer. Oh, I'll have to show you pictures of the Ensign I shipped up to Marquette .

From time to time we will publish more issues of our "Adventures (and) Misadventures"
